Farm Glance: Norm’s simple raised-bed lasagne garden

Here’s a submission from Norm Krcmar, a friend nearby who built this awesome raised-bed garden in his backyard this past summer. He used a ‘lasagne’ concept that involves layering various soil-building goodies repeatedly, with a layer of topsoil on top. Other than that it sort of explains itself…thanks Norm!

    That just pine he’s using? Always wonder about what kind of wood to use. I’ve found recovered fir to be a good choice but it’s tough to come by…

    hi5farms: Norm used Spruce, mainly because he was able to pick it up from the building store as 2nds for a really good price.
