Garlic variety hits and misses submitted by readers

Variety:   Northern Quebec (Can't remember source)

 

Where are your growing?   Merville, BC (Comox Valley, Vancouver Island)

 

Details:  

Northern Quebec always produces giant cloves, no matter how frosty, rainy, dried out or beat up it gets. It doesn't keep well (it's December and they're starting to get sprouty), but I grow other varieties with smaller cloves that are better for storage. NQ has a nice sharp flavour and the cloves are nice to cook with b/c they're easy to peel.
